  • If your ambition is to make a positive difference to the lives of children and adolescents, then this is the program for you. The Master of Teaching (School Counselling) qualifies you to become a school counsellor as well as a qualified teacher in one area of the secondary school curriculum.

    You will gain hands-on experience with 40 days of teaching practice in schools in two blocks, a school counselling professional experience in year one, a 25-day internship in school counselling in year two and a small-scale applied psychology research project. This experience will ensure you develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to become a successful school counsellor/school psychologist working across early childhood, primary, secondary and special schools.
