This program will be withdrawn for commencing (new) students after Trimester 3-2018. New students are referred to the Master of Global Public Health (5725) which will be offered (at the Gold Coast and online) from 2019.
The Master of International Public Health is an advanced two year (4 trimester) postgraduate program that enables students to build knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of public health with a particular emphasis on international issues, settings and practice. The program utilises a socio-ecological model of public health that emphasises and analyses the important interactions between the social, biological, economic and environmental determinants of health.
As part of this program you will focus your studies by selecting from a range of electives in areas such as public health nutrition, health promotion, environmental health, international health and health services management. The program incorporates opportunities for field experience or placement with international public health application.
