The Diploma in Information Technology (IT) is equivalent to the first year QUT’s Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments. On completion of the diploma with the required results you are guaranteed a place in the second year of your chosen degree program. This pathway provides an introduction to building and applying innovative IT solutions across diverse industries and provides additional academic and language support, preparing you for successful study in the QUT Science and Engineering Faculty.

On completion with the required results, receive a guaranteed place in the Bachelor of IT or Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments with 1 year of advanced standing.

Progression to your related bachelor course
To progress into your chosen degree program you will need to:
successfully complete your diploma with a minimum GPA of at least 4.0
obtain a minimum grade of 4 in Academic Communication 1 and 2.
You are eligible for 96 credit points (one year) of advanced standing
It will take four semesters to complete:
Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments (February)
Bachelor of Information Technology (February and July)
It will take five semesters to complete:
Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments (July)
