I’m just wrapping up my first semester as a Bachelor of Social Work student. I love how in the first semester we are already doing two subjects specific and relevant to the social work field, rather than all subjects being relatively generic. Our lecturers for our social work subjects are all either current or retired social workers, which I absolutely love. They have experience out in the field and know the right contexts of presenting information and teaching us things that we really need to know and will use in the future! There is a lot of student support. I just love the overall community feeling at WSU, too. Really excited to see what the next chapter of my course is like!
