• You will learn from industry-leading professionals how electrical energy is produced and used in homes, the community and in industry. Throughout your studies you will develop a foundational knowledge of electrical circuits, electronics and computer systems, signals and communications, power systems, control, energy systems and management.

During this four-year degree you will gain core skills in physics, mathematics, computer science and basic electrical engineering principles, before specialising in a variety of fields within the discipline, such as biomedical engineering, energy engineering and automatic control. In your third and fourth years, you can take electives to add breadth and depth to your studies. Choose from management and high-technology disciplines, including:

    image processing
    power electronics
    real-time control
    biomedical engineering.
Through a 12-week internship you will develop first-hand industry experience and networks, complemented by an embedded honours thesis. It enables you to design an individual research project in an area that interests you.

With a growing need for more efficient energy networks and an ever-increasing reliance on technology within society, there has never been a more exciting time to launch your career in electrical engineering.

The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Electrical) is a four year degree that has foundations in physics, mathematics, computer science and basic electrical engineering principles.
